Davide and Ivan

 

Meet Davide and Ivan. They live in Milan, Italy where Ivan works as a Public Affairs Manager and Davide is a Radiographer Coordinator. They met 10 years ago thanks to mutual friends, and then Ivan asked Davide to go out for a beer.

We are writing directly to our future child. Our idea is to give it to him or her when he or she grows up, so that he or she can know step by step the thoughts of his or her parents on this journey. ”

Quick overview on a few things you need to know about becoming a surrogate in Canada: 

  • You must be a female of 21-49 years of age

  • Have delivered one or more child(ren) of your own

  • Have experienced healthy pregnancies and births

  • Lead a healthy lifestyle and be physically/mentally healthy in general

Surrogates in Canada are: 

  • Reimbursed all of their expenses. (average $20,000-30,000)

  • Can apply for 15 weeks of maternity leave (if eligible)

  • Have independent legal representation and a legal contract

  • Will travel to the Intended Parents clinic - all costs covered
