Brice and Tomy
Meet Brice and Tomy. They live in Nantes, France where Tomy is a Product Owner and Brice is a Biotechnology Engineer. They met online in 2003 and after sever exchanges, decided to meet. They first committed to each other in a civil union in 2007, then after gay marriage was legalized in France they got married in 2014. They can't wait to start a family of their own!
"It is a journey that has been close to our hearts for several years. We want to start a family, to grow one or more children and pass on our values, our history.
What we are most looking forward to in our surrogacy journey is of course the arrival of our child, but we want it to be done in the most human way possible. The procedures are long, we want to be able to exchange as much as possible with the people who allow us to build our family and particularly with the surrogate who allows us to realize our dream of becoming parents.
We want to keep a link with our surrogate, in fact we want to explain to our child how he or she was conceived. We would like to introduce him or her to the person who made it possible for us to start a family.”

Quick overview on a few things you need to know about becoming a surrogate in Canada:
You must be a female of 21-49 years of age
Have delivered one or more child(ren) of your own
Have experienced healthy pregnancies and births
Lead a healthy lifestyle and be physically/mentally healthy in general
Surrogates in Canada are:
Reimbursed all of their expenses. (average $20,000-30,000)
Can apply for 15 weeks of maternity leave (if eligible)
Have independent legal representation and a legal contract
Will travel to the Intended Parents clinic - all costs covered
