Francis and Jonathan

Meet Francis and Jonathan! They live in Saint-Rédempteur, Québec where Francis works as a Resident Doctor in Family Medicine and Jonathan works as a Clinical Research Associate. Their journey to start their family began in 2019 when they joined the waitlist for adoption in hopes of helping a child in need get a better chance at life. After 4 years on the waitlist, they were told their expected wait time for adoption could still be up to 10 more years. After much discussion, they made the difficult decision to stop pursuing adoption and began their family building journey via surrogacy.

“We are excited about navigating the whole process. Each step brings us closer to achieving our dream of starting our family. We are also eager to find and meet who our surrogacy match will be, and we hope to be able to build a strong relationship with them.

Always keeping in mind that we want to respect the surrogate's wishes, we would be happy to continue the relationship with the surrogate after the birth. We want her to be part of our circle and to be able to communicate as we would with close friends.”
